Other IR remote systems

The settings of the Pinnacle PCTV infrared remote can be changed, too. Contrary to Hauppauge they even have a documentation.
IR-Control only supports the WinTV cards from Hauppauge. An adaption to the Pinnacle PCTV is not planned.

In issue 18/2000 the German magazine c't presented a infrared remote reciever that can be used to control a Linux or Windows PC with any HiFi remote control (Ein Pinguin sieht (infra)rot, p.208-213). The components cost less than 5 DM (~2.5 €).
